One of the exciting projects that the members of Guiding get up to is international travel. This year 5 Guiders, 10 Young Leaders and 1 Guide from St Laurence's, St George's, St Mary's and Hollinshead St URC are travelling to Mexico to take part in a community work project.
The members have to get sponsorship and raise the money themselves, in this case £2000 each, which is a daunting task for 14 year olds. This group have done extremely well and are nearly at the target.
Before going on a trip like this it is recommended that a Training Weekend is organised, this took place at Pax Lodge in London. This was a valuable opportunity for the group to get to know each other as they are all from different units and to work together as a team whilst having a good time.
